For English scroll down Ieri mattina la pagina Facebook Dogs & Country ha raggiunto i 400 “Mi piace”. Mi preme sottolineare che si tratta di “Mi piace” onesti dal momento che non abbiamo mai suggerito, o tantomeno forzato, nessuno a cliccare sul pollice alzato. Contemporaneamente, il collega Emanuele Nava usciva dalla caverna e pubblicava un nuovo post, felicissima di riaverlo in squadra. Ricordo che Dogs & Country nasce nel 2013 e su volontà di entrambi. Sempre negli stessi momenti il pezzo offertomi dall’amico Fabrizio Crabbio (uno dei maggiori esperti italiani – e non solo- sulla razza Deutsch Drahthaar) andava diffondendosi a macchia d’olio, raggiungendo in serata circa 1300 visite! L’universo mi vuole bene: non potrebbe essere altrimenti visto che Harkila mi ha offerto la possibilità di testare e recensire i suoi prodotti! Per chi non ha mai sentito parlare di questa marca, ma credo che voi tutti la conosciate, Harkila è un’azienda scandinava che produce abiti tecnici per la caccia. Non parlo solo di quei soldati che, in battaglia, necessitano commilitoni decisi e pieni di senso pratico, il pragmatismo serve anche ai cinofili. Dall’obbedienza al fermo al frullo
Non appena Briony si è esibita nei primi fermi al frullo, gonfia di orgoglio, ho postato alcuni video su Facebook. La strada che ci aveva condotto a un solido fermo al frullo era stata lunga ed ero assolutamente felice di aver ottenuto un risultato che, mesi prima, mi era sembrato irraggiungibile. The shooting season here starts formally on September’s third Sunday, aka today. I, however, did not want to “open”, as at the moment I am incredibly busy having to take care of too many things simultaneously (writing calms me down). There are instances in which you need someone reliable and pragmatic by your side. It is not only soldiers on battlefields who need mates full of practical sense and decisiveness, dog people need them as well. On steadiness (… and obedience!)
As soon as Briony became steady to flush I, full of pride, posted some videos on Facebook. The road that brought us to steadiness was a long one, I was extremely happy to have reached what, months early, seemed to be unattainable. Briony was originally purchased to be my personal shooting dog and indeed she became a good one. Comunque, come avrete capito, al momento mi trovo nel Nord dell’Inghilterra e partecipo a field trials (prove di lavoro) inglesi. Perché questa scelta? Perché lo scorso anno sono stata qui e ho assistito al Champion Stake rimanendo assolutamente affascinata dai luoghi, dai selvatici e dal tipo di addestramento a cui i cani vengono sottoposti.
